Wrong. The RIGHT people are your biggest competitive advantage.
Nothing new about the concept: “get the right people in the right seats.”
It’s just good management – surround yourself with the right people.
In my 36 yrs. as a business owner….it’s easier said than done.
Great people can be hard to find and sometimes even harder to keep.
Here’s what it means to get the right people:
• Core values are defined and you attract and hire people that already possess them
• “Batteries included”- self-motivated people are easy to manage
• They just get it
Here’s how to keep those right people
• Give them clear expectations
• Give them the necessary resources
• Get out of their way and let them do their jobs!
With the RIGHT people, communication gets better, problems get solved faster, and those RIGHT people start to attract other RIGHT people.
Now go find your RIGHT people.
